It's not hard. It's been several years ( back in 2000) since I did mine......it is
just held on with two small screws or bolts. No special tool was required. You do
have to move some of the mechanicals which are in the way. On an MTX I would have
had to move the battery, power steering hoses, and shock damper, but these were all
out of the way already, since I was fixing the crank cancer and doing a 60K.
The sensor is over on the passenger's side of the engine, above the P/S pump,
adjacent to the firewall. It faces the fender, so you can get to the fasteners
easily, after you remove the items in the way.
It cost me about 35 bucks at NAPA.
