I do not believe that there are removable cam bearings on the SHO. I think
you have to have the head machined. I would get a 2nd opinion 1st. I
personally have never heard of this on the V6 SHO motor.

Subject: [Shotimes] CAM bearings and/or CAMs

Hello,,

I have a friend in Rockwall Texas who, aparrently ran
low on oil, now has a loud knocking noise. Turns
out, it's a CAM bearing, and looking for one or maybe
two..

How much do they run?

Where can I help him order one?

What else could be wrong?

It's been, or he has determined, that it's the bearing
between the last two cylinders on the passenger-side
closest to the firewall. I think Exhaust CAM. Any
ideas, suggestions? Thanks. :) Appreciate all the
help you can.
