no they are not.

Far as I know, the fronts are within like 1 lb of the gen1/2 ones.  Being
alum (weaker) you need more material to for strength, so even though it's
lighter, there's more of it.

I bet the TCE modified 90-93 knuckles are lighter than the alum gen3 :)
