Just out of curiosity are Gen 3 parts in the rear made of aluminum? I sseem
to remember a topic whhen talking about gen 3 ssubframes, racks, and
knuckles up front. I remember reading that the front knuckles are aluminum.
I'm just wondering if the rear components are as well. I'm updating
(backdating my rear brakes to vented 92's, and I was thinking about
replacing theh huibs in the rar for having nice new wheel bearings. I
figured I'd check and see if rear knuckles are AL and of the same design as
the gen2, so that I could just replace the entire rear assembly, then bolt
up the heavy 92 parts for the backdating. I know it shouldn't really amtter
about taking weight off the rear of the car, more just wondering outloud.
Also I just saw a 99 SHO in a JY here, with no front clip, seats, trunk lid,
and few other things, but the rear hubs and braking system was there. But it
tdidn't dawn on me to ask about the AL aspect till just now.
