Hmm.  The Wilwood setup I received has an unworn outer edge.  Which is
actually the reason I decided on new rotors as it's pretty obvious how
much of the rotor has worn away.  I'm guessing it's just slight
variations in the kits?  I mean if Todd doesn't drill those bracket
holes in exactly the same spot every time, you may have the pads ride
slightly higher or lower from set to set.

For OEM usually, yeah.

With the WW's, the calipers/pads ride slightly above the outer edge, so
no "lip" is made over time.
