George, I'd be more than happy to help you with this. DVD burners are
fairly ubiquitous these days. You can get a decent DVD+/-R for $80 or
less. I've used Pinnacle Studio software with great success. This allows
you to edit the AVI file produced by your camcorder assuming that it has
software to copy the A/V data to your computer. Once you have the AVI
file, Studio software will allow you to edit the video, create chapters
and menu for the DVD. Make sure you have an ATA-100 or better harddisk
with at least 80GB free.
