Chances are you will need to adjust some clearances via new shims.
Your swap boils down to a cost of new 3.2L head gaskets, vs a few shims. My
guess is you'll need less than half, since you have 2 engines worth of shims
from which to choose. New shims are still available thru SHO-nut. Cost wise,
I'd call it close to a trade-off, maybe favoring the shims.
I'd be more concerned with the condition of the heads, specifically the
valve guides. I'd go with whichever head set has less miles, saw better oil
changes, burned less oil, or shows less oil on the piston tops. That and the
3.0 cams.
