[Shotimes] are Al flywheels worth it?

I was planning on buying an Al Flyhwheel today but
before I hit the keys to send the money away I wanted
to ask the list here. I've heard mixed opinions about
them and from what I am reading online, I don't know
what to think anymore.

Are Al flywheels worth having on an SHO (NA)?

What about longevity of driveline components such as
clutches, gears, bearings, synchros, etc.

The weight of the stock flywheel does serve an
important purpose. It smoothes the power delivery and
seems to dampen vibrations somewhat. It's heavier
weight also seems to help with low end torque to get
the car moving.

Has anyone noticed any NVH, clutch issues, things
breaking, the inability to find a pencil or pen when
you need it or headaches, sexual side effects, etc
from using an Al flywheel?
