The torque of a BMW inline 6 is so much different than the V-6 Yamaha that I have to relearn how to drive a car everytime I switch from one to the other.

Well, drove the TT, a Boxter and an M Roadster. Wow! All different
personalities, for sure!
Went to a dealer in Villa Park and test drove the TT. Nice looking car!
Has rear glass in the top instead of plastic. Those brushed aluminum
roll-hoops look COOL! Biggest issue is that the car just puts around until
the turbo kicks in at 4,000 RPM. Also, it is a VW which since I own 2 of
them makes me leery of reliability.
Went to Carmax in Naperville because they allegedly had an M Roadster. It
was sold 30 minutes before we got there. Saw a Boxter sitting there so took
it for a ride. My wife drove it 1st and when she got out of the car, she
said "that was better than sex!" I was a little hurt until I drove it. The
sound of the Porsche engine just is a marvel!
Drove it fairly aggressively even though the salesman was with me. Brakes
seemed to require a LARGE amount of pressure to wok. Got back to the
dealership and the car would NOT move! The brakes had seized. Salesman
finally got it moving again and took it to the mechanic who test drove it
and said that the brakes were normal for a Porsche. I told the salesman his
mechanic was full of crap and promptly left. Oh, the salesman also dropped
the top in the 15 degree weather and cracked the rear plastic window.
On the way home, stopped by Anderson VW in Crystal Lake and looked at
another Boxter and test drove for the 1st time the M Roadster. Wow! Talk
about torque! That puppy went! It was only the 240 HP one! I can only
imagine the 315 HP one!
Anyhow, the M Roadster is now safely in my garage. Since it will be driven
in the winter, Tire Rack will be getting a call today to send me some tires
and wheels. Anyone know of anyone selling some wheels that fit it?
