When the airbag light is flashing: 6... 6... 6... Does that mean
that I need a clockspring, or is my '91 the Antichrist? (There are days...)
Shall I call the parts guy or the pastor?
It's intermittent. A couple of days ago, in a cold snap, it went on every
time I drove the car. Today it warmed up, and the lamp was off. The
clockspring is thin-film printed-circuit technology, isn't it? Does it lose
flexibility as it ages?
How hard is it to swap the clockspring? Tell me I don't have to pull the
wheel.
When the light is flashing, that means the airbag system will not function
in a crash, right? Just guessing it's like ABS...
Finally, is a clockspring a dealer part, or should I search the aftermarket
parts chains?
