[Shotimes] parking brake idiot light

My red brake light does work (it'll illuminate when
the fluid is low in the MC) and once in awhile it will
illuminate when the e-brake is engaged. I figured that
the switch is faulty. However, I was discussing this
with Bill Murray who said that he had also replaced
the switch on his car (also a 93mtx) and that it only
worked a few times before developing the symptoms that
mine displays. Is there something that can cause a
short in the switch that we should be looking out for?
I would like to get this issue resolved as I don't
enjoy driving around with my e-brake on. :)
