Nice writup, but I could never bring myself to cut into a perfectly good
panel.  That is just asking for rust city to me.  I know for some it might
be a big deal, but it's not hard to jack the car up, undo the small bolts
inside the fuel door lid, get under the car, loosen the two hose clamps,
undo the one bolt holding the metal pipes and then taking the two bolts out
that hold the tank in.  Drop the tank down, undo the clips on the fuel
lines, change the pump and reverse order.  Shouldn't take more 1-2 hours the
first time.  I bet I can do it in under a half hour now.

Now if there was a panel I could lift up to change the clutch, I would
gladly cut a hole for that. :-)
