[Shotimes] I uploaded fuel pump cutaway writeup

I see your point. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I just can't do it to my
car, but mine is totally rust free and all the bolts come undone easily, so
that makes it easy. I thought about cutting the hole, but I'm picky, and I
would have to fashion some kind of hinged trap door, etc and make it very
neat. The amount of time that would take, would negate me cutting the hole
in the first place. And I feel your pain on crawling under the car. I'm
6'6" 235 lbs, so I know what it's like-- it's not easy shuffling up and down
getting tools, etc.

PS. Anybody know how big of a message can you send to the list. I have
been trying to post a message about my 91 for sale, but it doesn't show up.
It's a pretty big email.

Well, I painted everything once I cut into it. I did a
fuel pump swap that took all day-dropping the tank,
banging it into place, nearly breaking the bolts and
the straps, gagging on the fumes, worrying that if I
banged the tank into something one more time it might
spark and ignite fumes. 2+ years later and no rust.

When I cut the hole in my floor, I smelled fuel the
next day. It turns out that I didn't install the O
ring properly. Took me 10 minutes to fix the problem
and I didn't get dirty.

I dunno-I am 6'5' and 280 lbs +/- with a bad back.
It's not very easy or pleasureable for me to writhe
around under my car, esp. as the weather gets colder
and I don't have a garage. I want one of those lift
contraptions that flip the car upside so you can work
on the bottom without getting dirty. :)
