Are you saying the sound and feel of the vibration increases in intensity when you
turn the wheel either way from centered?  That sounds to me like a bad bearing on
one side or the other....when the car is going straight, there is no load on it, but
when turned, the bearing is tensioned to one side or the other of the race.

This seems like another symptom of a super loose wheel bearing.

These two symptoms sound like alignment.  Make sure the subframe is where it is
supposed to be....centered left and right....and also make sure there is no
looseness in the tension strut bushings at the LCAs.  It sounds like that shim might
be giving you some trouble.  Lowrider was all over the place, depending on power
settings, when the one side tension strut nut worked loose on the way back from
Indiana.
