Wow, that's a lot of work too.  But if it works, then more power to you!

I have mixed thoughts about the mount design of the SF.  On one hand the
thought of notching the SF so it doesn't move around, and thus having a
fixed mounting nut would make things a little easier in the area of
uninstalling the bolt.  But I recognize the need to be able to move the SF
around, so you need the nut to be able to float around.  Because even the
newer galvanized bolts will still rust a little, I just live with the
anti-seize on the bolts and look to re-torque them ever now and again.

Frank, my SHO has the drilled hole method on the front left corner.  It
does have its advantages whenever the need arises to drop the SF again.
