Personally, I've never been afraid to close the doors
when they're locked while the car is running. I've
just always trusted the keypad to work. From 110 F to
-40 F it has ALWAYS worked. But just in case I have a
spare stuck (in one of those key boxes welded to the
car) to a little "ledge" on the firewall. Yes, its a
bugger to reach but every week when I check it (have
the AWA make sure no one is watching) its still there.
