First sports car race of the season is over, and guess what?

Pontiac won! (OK, a Chevy engine with Pontiac stickers on
it!) :)

Sorry to see the Tony Stewart/Dale JR. team lose in the last
few minutes due to parts breaking.

Dale did a great job, Tony just reinforced my belief that he
is the new ultimate racer. And Andy Wallace, a sports car
legend gave these two newcomers a big lead to play with.

For Tony, he will race anything: dirt, pavement, with and
without fenders, and now sports cars. watching his eyes as
the car fell apart around him was a study in control of
emotion. Maybe he lets his temper get loose after a race,
but during he is all business, at least if people aren't
bashing him in the side!

Also, read in Autoweek where he stays till the last fan is
gone at dirt races, (sponsor probably won't let him do it at
Nascar events, would make other drivers look bad).

Tony continues to bad mouth Nascar when he is at a dirt
track, got to give him credit, he is less concerned about
his sponsors image of him, than he is his fan's image. And
he doesn't care what NASCAR fans think of him either. Not
the best attitude for making the most money, but he is good
enough, I doubt he will get fired for loving dirt racing
first, and everything else second.

Good race, Porche proved once again they support and make
the ultimate sports car, 911 continues to dominate the sport
at the lower levels.
