The camera is in an 1997 LT1 Z28 6-speed (285 HP stock) in all shots. Notice that the Z28 gets the jump at the start (lots of low-end torque) then the SHO reels him in. I have a 96 Firehawk and used to have a SHO. That SHO was probably supercharged, because there's no way he would have spanked the Z28 otherwise. The Mustang GT at the end wasn't even trying.
