[Shotimes] Fw: !!PLEASE READ Y pipe warpspeed!!

I would prefer a 2 1/2" Y-pipe merge. IMHO, the 2 1/4" merge (and subsequent 2 1/4" pipe to resonator) is the single most restricting "component" in the entire exhaust system. Having looked at flow charts vs HP, I honestly believe that by going to 2 1/2" merge and replacing the resonator pipe with a 2 1/2" pipe+resonator, that we could all gain about +15HP just from that (on a typically modified SHO.) The reason for this is that the flow of an effectively 2 1/4" system that most of us have on our SHOs simply doesn't flow enough. A 2 1/2" system will flow about 23% more gases, and it won't hurt low-end torque all that much (though, I'm not particularly sure about this.)

Of course, a 2 1/2" Y-pipe is no longer a bolt in....so that may be a deterent.

Btw, what happend to carsound? They are no longer on the web? I'm trying to buy some carsound cats but I can't find them anymore on the web. Anyone got a clue?
