[Shotimes] Steering problems???

If the inner tie rod is bad, the whole tie rod will move in and out as the
tire is pushed/pulled from the 3 and 9 positions.

When you had the outer TRE popped from the knuckle for replacement, you were
in the perfect postion to best test the inner joint. According to the
manual, if the tie rod takes between 2 and 10 lbs of force to move, it is
good. Of course, most will require little to no force after the inner TR
has been in use awhile. A worn joint can be identified by movement in the
joint when the TR is pushed and pulled on. It is really obvious if it is
bad.

Grab the tire at 6 and 12 and try rocking it while observing the ball joint.
If there is movement of the knuckle relative to the lower control arm (LCA),
the ball joint is worn out and the LCA need replacement.

If the wheel moves but the knuckle does not while testing in either axis,
the wheel bearing is the problem.
