My ProFlow77 came with a gray cone filter. At the narrow end of the filter there is a 1 inch wide round polished stainless stell "ring". Very nice finish. Otherwise it looks just like the K&N cone filter.94MTX,green,BOS+--- On Thu 01/08, Carl Prochilo < gr8sho@prochilo.myserver.org > wrote:

Is that what you have? Thecleaning procedure is to use a spray on cleaner and then flush with water. This removes the oil from the gauze material inside the screen mesh. This turns the filter from red to white/gray. After the gause has dried, you have to oil it with the K&N spray that come in the kit which makes thefilter red again.-- Cheers,Carl Prochilo1992 Ultra Red CrimsonMichael said:> I suppose I can only speak for my own ProFlow 77mm MAF, which only needs> to be washed in soap water, according to the instructions from Best> Products that came with the meter.94MTX,green,BOS+--- On Thu 01/08, Carl> Prochilo < gr8sho@prochilo.myserver.org > wrote:> From: Carl Prochilo [mailto: gr8sho@prochilo.myserver.org]To:> molsen@excite.comCc: shotimes@autox.team.netDate: Thu, 8 Jan 2004 15:36:24> -0500 (Eastern Standard Time)Subject: Re: [Shotimes] 80mm MAF failure,> CLEANING procedure and Materials?Says who?
