[Shotimes] parking cable

Matt, The cable shouldn't hang. The e-brake mechanism in the rear has a
spring which pulls the cables when you use the release in the car. If the
cable hangs, and I've had this problem, it means you have binding occurring
somewhere in one of the two e-brake cables most likely. You can use a small
pry bar or big screwdriver to move the e-brake mechanism to the full release
position. Then I would put tape over the e-brake pedal so you aren't
tempted to use it. When the weather is warmer, you can fix the problem or
have someone do it for your. A dealership might charge you between $200 -
$300 to do the repair. Or you can do like I know some people in Michigan do
and just cut the cable so you don't have to worry about it.
