Well, it is currently -19C (-2F) at our house in Manchester, Connecticut
right now (6:10AM Saturday Morning). Not as cold as it got last year, but
the cold snap isn't over yet!

It hit on Wednesday. I was taking the VW Jetta to a car-wash place so I
could vacuum out the interior. Time: Aprox. 6:15PM. Temp: 0C/32F. I get
there, vacuum the car, and wind up driving home in near white-out conditions
from the snow-storm that popped up. I got home. time: Aprox 6:30PM.
Temp: -3C/26F. About 20mm/.75" of snow on the ground.

As my neighbor said when I called him the next day - "If you don't like the
weather in New England, wait five minutes!"

BTW, My 10BHP Billy Goat (tm) Leaf blower cleaned off his driveway and mine
in about 8 minutes. MUCH faster than trying to shovel and it cleans to the
pavement thanks to the movable nozzle!

Of course, my neighbors have gotten used to me doing this over the past two
years when the snow amounts are low...

:-)

And here was I, thinking how cool the 26C overnight temperature felt after a
43C day.
Birdsville having 49.5C. , inside the pub 26C and the beer 1C. Guess where
most of the town population was :-))
