[Shotimes] gas mileage issues

I have two 94 ATXs. I get 24.5 with one and 27 mpg with the other, regular driving. They seem to be identical cars and I drive them both the same. They both run great and I have a kind of heavy foot. So I'd say 24-27 might be average for regular driving. I can't say about highway miles because I've never been on a trip yet with the SHOs.    Dave

FWIW, Jason, I'm with Don. Unless you find something else mechancially
wrong with your ATX, then I wouldn't worry about it. While it's always
nice to work towards higher highway numbers, 24mpg in itself ain't bad! :)

People need to expect lower mpg from an ATX than a MTX. 24mpg highway is
about what to expect, although there are a lot of other factors, such as
tire pressures and driving style.

Personally, I usually get right at 24-25mpg on a trip. Around town I only
get 19-20mpg. I attribute that to me driving like a moron - heavy gas and
heavy brake.
