The problem with this entire scam thing (not yours, the
scammers!) is that the checks they send DO cash at most
banks. It is about a week or two later that the check comes
back bad and you are on the line for the amount plus interest!
So if ANYONE accepts a bank check from a possible scammer,
you must wait till it clears completely before accepting or
spending the money!. The tip off is them paying you more
than the car is worth (to be paid to a shipper), plus never
bargaining for a lower price! (when is the last time anyone
EVER bought a car and just said "Wow, I'll pay whatever you
were asking!") :)
Again, ask for a Western Union money wire, and do NOT give
them your bank account number or any personal information!
Guaranteed, they will move on.
