These scammers almost always use what the call a "bank 
Certified Check" that is usually good, but in this case it 
is bogus.

Sure seems like in today's society, that the banks should be 
able to read the band and account numbers and get a handle 
on if the check is good without waiting for it to make the 
two week (or more) long trip through the system.

That is why for years, I took and gave nothing but cash when 
buying from individuals or selling to them.
