Speaking of PS pumps, my 94 ATX has developed a very loud humming sound when it first starts for the first time of the day. It only lasts a few seconds then the sound stops. It only seems to do it in below zero weather. Any ideas? Could it be the PS pump? Jason, your whining sound might be an idler pulley bearing. Dave Bigelow
