I don't know if it is region specific (road salt) but here in WI we have
A LOT (not all) of our automatic and person attended
car washes with an "under the vehicle sprayer".  It amounts
to power spraying under your vehicle when you drive in.  Also,
you could ask one of the nicer washes (JetStream, PDQ, etc.)
if they can really let that car sit longer for the undercarriage ??
Just a thought.
