Standard dealer recommendations is two years.
I leave it in as long as it looks clear. Lowrider has had the same fill for 4 or 5
years, since the radiator was changed. With it sitting a year, the fuzzies have
plugged the radiator again, so it gets another one and a new fill.
If I drive the car every day as far as I do, about 120 miles, I just make sure it is
full until it gets dirty, then I change it.
