[Shotimes] exhaust question

Early in the life of my new SHO I decided to go the aftermarket exhaust
route, first with the Walker Dynomax and then with the Perf Plus Y-pipe.
Of the two, the Y-pipe still looks fantastic. The Dynomax pipes are still
in reasonable shape but are showing signs of rust in some spots. The
pipes are probably going on 8 years now. The mufflers that come with the
kit are called Super Turbos and have a lifetime warranty. I am on my
third set of mufflers now, the last set lasting over 5 years whereas the
first two only lasted a couple of years each. I bought my kit from Lane
Automotive in Michigan and they were great to honor the warranty in both
cases.

The primary difference in the life of these aluminized mufflers is the
climate, northern vs southern. This last set of mufflers should last me
at least another 5 years. Sometimes though I wish had bought the catback
system originally offered by SS that had the Edelbrock mufflers. Yes it's
loud but it does sound sweet on the 95 MTX.

To take full advantage of improved airflow on the exhaust side, you will
need a corresponding change on the intake side (ie. bigger MAF).
