[Shotimes] Convention Round Trip Vehicle Transport

We are putting together round trip auto transport from the north east to the
convention and back.

We have a driver lined up (former multiple SHO owner) who would take the
cars from the North East down to the hotel, be there for 2 weeks, then take
the cars back to the North East.

The 2nd week gives people a chance to take a vacation in CA/Vegas/etc. with
their cars after the convention, and also gives the driver the opportunity
to find more cars on his own to fill the truck for the way back*, as well as
time for himself to vacation.

*Interestingly enough, auto transport companies have no trouble filling a
truck with cars to go West, but the trip back East is really hard for them
to fill their trucks, and they often come back half-full.

The round-trip cost is ~$1000 total for BOTH ways.

To compare, if you contact a car carrier, they will quote $900-$1100 to go
from the North East to Vallejo (actually Sacramento), and $1000-$1300 to
come back, the latter being higher to make up for lack of paying customers.
They also want 20 days to transport the vehicle, where our guy can do it in
less than a week.

In other words, this return transportation for $1000 total is about half the
usual cost for someone doing this on their own.


We would also be VERY interested in anyone that is looking for transport to
the North East from the convention area, i.e. one way, to help him fill the
truck for the way back.
