[Shotimes] What can destroy a cat?

Well where have I been? I've been running 10w30 since
I've owned the car. Used 5w30 the first winter I had
it, but 10w30 ever since. Worked just fine in the 
-40F crap we had around New Years...

Or am I missing something?
