[Shotimes] Painting metal intake gasket

I have heard of people painting the metal intake gasket before installation 
but I have a couple of questions:
Should you allow the paint to dry before installing the gasket? Or spray the 
gasket and install it still tacky?
Does it matter what kind of paint you use? I have some high temp engine 
paint with ceramic left over from painting my intake. Is this ok to use?
