Bruce,

A pre-painted cowl hood is damn near worth the purchase price

Had this happened a week ago I would have had the cash to buy it. I would
really like to put a cowl hood on my 94 MTX Opal Frost.

Hi Everyone...

Due to very urgent and unforseen circumstances, I have to sell my car, NOW.
A few of you know the history of the car, but for everyone else, here goes:

The Good: It's a '94 Opal Frost Automatic, and has approximately 140K on the
clock. Interior is full leather in gray, and is in great condition. There is
a minor wear crack in the drivers seat, but the passenger and back seats are
in great shape. Top end 60 & 120K's were done on time, regular oil changes
done about every 3K miles with Castrol GTX. Has brand new plugs in it (less
than 100 miles old). K&N cone filter, slicers in great shape with decent
tires. The tires don't match but have good tread still left on them. The
catback is about 1 year old and includes generic turbo mufflers and oval
Gen-3 style tips. The cats got clogged about 2 months ago so I drilled them
out and emptied them. The pressure was tested, and it's now a free-flowing
Y-pipe with new 02 sensors. The shifter assembly is new. It has a silver
painted climate control with only one slightly cracked button. The gauge
bezel is painted silver, and the gauges are blue and black checkered flag
design. The car has a trailer hitch on it (we'll get to that in a sec). It
has the moonroof & power everything. It was originally purchased in
Tennessee, lived in Florida for a while, and has been in Michigan for a
little over a year. There is NO RUST on the car. The best part... it's got
the cowl hood!

The Bad: It needs a new transmission. The car IS DRIVEABLE, however, if you
can get used to manually starting out in 2nd gear and upshifting into 3rd
(and going back down into 2nd when slowing to turn or coming to a stop...
for some reason it doesn't want to shift by itself between those gears...).
It shifts into 4th just fine and the OD off button works. There is a leak in
the exhaust, either where the Y-pipe hooks up to the manifold or to the
cat-back. I just haven't gotten underneath it to check, but I know it can be
easily fixed (take the bolts out, line it up right, and put them back in).
The engine leaks oil a little bit around the pan (nothing drastic). There
are a few minor chips in the clearcoat on the drivers side front fender (a
couple of tools got dropped on it). The speedometer doesn't work because the
last shop I took it to (to have the tranny checked) unhooked it and did not
hook it back up. It will work if you take the time to stick it back in. Bolt
up a new tranny, do the rest of the preventative maintenance if you'd like
(CPS, water pump, etc), and basically you're good to go.

The Ugly (for me, anyway): I'm asking $800 and it has to be picked up by
Wednesday morning. I'm located in White Lake, Michigan. If you have any
questions, you may reply to this email, but I most likely won't be able to
get back online and read it. The best way to contact me is to call me at
248.635.2396. Unfortunately, the only pics I have of the car are sorta far
away pics.

Thanks, Tara
