Out here (Boston suburbs), it will cost nearly twice that. But, most 
of that is labor cost to wrestle with the dash. It seems as though 
Ford builds their cars by bolting everything around the heater 
core/evaporator.

If you do the work yourself, you can get the parts for much less.
