My father bought a new '62 Falcon Futura when he got back from Korea. I did
some research a few years ago and found that there were only 1,800 Futuras
built in 1962. I told my father and he's been kicking himself ever since.
That's why I'm never getting rid of my SHO Plus. FWIW, he said it was a
great car. He drove it to work everyday, northern NJ to the Bronx, and got
100,000 miles out of the original clutch. He has nothing but praise for
that car and always says it was the best car he's ever owned.

Falcon was produced from 1960-1970, and the Futura model was avail from
1962-1970. The Futura was not gaudy, it was very subtle - like our SHOs.
On the outside it came with full wheel covers (instead of the dog-dish of
the std Falcon), and a chrome "spear" that ran the length of the body. On
the inside it had bucket seats and a T-bird console (instead of the bench
seat of the std Falcon).

And, what about Scion? What the frick is a Scion? Does everyone know that
it's just another division of Toyota? Their model names are "xA", "xB", and
"tC". Talk about being too lazy to think up good names!! AND, have you
seen the xB????? Talk about being too lazy to actually design a car with
style.
