[Shotimes] OT - Computer- to turn off or not

Wow! That is pretty bad! I don't even have laptop failures that bad. In the
4 years of running 130 Dell Optiplex's, I have 2 hard drive failure, 1
monitor.

I have 30 or so Omnitech brand (white box) and the 6 and 7 year old ones are
just starting to have power supply fan problems.

I tell my users that they NEED to keep their computer on at all times so I
can download virus updates, OS patches, Bios's and the such. Most of them
do.

Just FYI.  We run our PC's 24/7 and have for 8 years.  In that time frame,
on four workstations, we have replaced 3 hard drives and 4 monitors.  I'm
not sure I'd run my home PC all the time.  JMO.
