Yes Carl that's usually the function. On some motherboards you can also
setup the power button function in the BIOS. And Don, if you computer locks
up you don't have to turn it off by the power strip. Simply hold down the
power button until it shuts off. It's kinda like a safetfy so you don't
accidentally shut the computer off. (But then again why else would you hit
the power button!!! lol )
