As the car is approching 60K miles it's about time that the plugs and wires
get changed anyways.  If you have access to a multimeter check the voltage
output of the TPS while slowly opening the throttle body.  With it fully
closed you want a voltage as close to zero as possible and a smooth increase
of voltage as you open it until it's fully opened.  At WOT you should have
about 5V.  As for the clunking on accelerating from a stand still you should
probably take a look at the condition of the subframe bushings and do a
motor mount test (found on www.shotimes.com).
