If my black car is any indication....if the car is put together the way it came
apart, there should be no change.  The PCM doesn't know the displacement of the
short block.

If you are talking about factory installations, it would seem to me that there are
one or more additional circuits to the tranny from the PCM, since the automatic is
'electronic'.  If one changed the PCM to a manual one, there might be a wire or two
that didn't go anywhere in the PCM...this might cause a CE light, and it might not.

All of this is speculation....I'm not an ATX kinda guy...!
