Well, blame the environmentalist. OPEC has said that there is actually a
glut on the market right now. The problem is that no new refineries have
been built in the US for 20 + years! Do you think our demand went down?
Every time a new refinery or an expansion to an old one is proposed, the
Sierra Club and others get it blocked. Tell you local legislators to get
some balls and allow construction of refineries and you'll see gas go down.

I'm in Michigan. It was the cheap gas that was rationed to 10 gallons, I
just got back from the parts store and noticed it's up again from 2.08 last
night to 2.14 I can buy all of that I want but who the hell want's to.
Although I'll need it this weekend. And after mothers day it will magically
come down again. 
The cool thing yesterday was people were getting into fist fights over the
pump. Threating the clerks over the 10 gallons thing. pushing shoving.
Looked like an Elementary school playground with cars.
And if anyone starts that Shampoo,Milk, what the brits pay for petrol topic.
I will go postal !!

Well I spent 3 hours in line getting gas. Not sure why gas spiked from 1.71
to 1.97 up to 2.08 yesterday but 4 local gas stations had it for 1.71 so I
thought I would fill up only to learn that the fall of comunisim in this
country caused me to be rationed at the gas station. Maybe next week I can
stand in line for 6 squares of toilet paper. And if your wondering how much
gas I could have 10 gallons. Dave
