Mark these stupid arguments and personal opinions as "OT" so the rest of
us don't have to waste our time.

"Real Racing"? There might be some forms that suit you
better than NASCAR, but to call what these people do
anything other than real racing is showing how much you
really don't know. Ever been on an oval at speed? I have,
and I can tell you, that just by yourself it is scary.
It's not "real racing", it's "going real fast with a bunch of other
guys".
The fact that you've been "at speed" on an oval and it's "scary" doesn't
make
it "real racing". Real racing doesn't require friends so you don't get
left
behind by a train of cars, who themselves, can do nothing else because
they too
would be left behind if they stepped out. Real racing doesn't have
tracks they
race on where "the big one" is not only expected but anticipated by fans
and
media. Real racing attempts to prevent injury and mayhem. Real racing
has fans
that don't throw things at cars. Real, modern, race cars lost their
carburators and push rods decades ago. Real racing shows ethnic
diversity and a
willingness to accept you even if your name isn't Earnhardt.
Now back off Don, no need to tell me what I don't know, I've been
around
racing 35 years and I know I what I like, and it's, obviously, not
NASCAR!
