The relays can be mounted anywhere or you can just stuff them somewhere,
they do not need to be secure unless looks is a primary concern. The way I
grounded mine is to ground each new headlight plug ground to the body at the
headlight, then using another wire connect both of these headlight grounds
to one of the main body grounds under the hood. On the GEN 3 this is on the
fenderwall. As long as the ground is connected to one of the OEM ground
points this is good.
I would use the post on the underhood fuse box that the alternator output
wire attaches to for the 12V power feeding the relays. Be sure to fuse it.
The harness will have one male headlight plug that will plug into the OEM
drivers side headlight plug. This is how the signals for the high and low
beam relays are picked up. It then has new headlight plugs you use at the
actual headlight.
It really isn't too hard.
