I have not heard of too many transmission problems so I would be suspicious
of that. Nevertheless if you are close to needing a clutch then it would be
wise to do the clutch and trans. at the same time to save on labor. Rather
than rebuilding your trans. I would suggest trying to find a replacement.
There should be plenty available inexpensively.
