I had this happen to a '90- just took a piece of small wire and attached it
back to where it is supposed to be (the original clip was clearly broken
plastic)- Not very technical, but it has held now for five years.

Subject: [Shotimes] criuse control cable

My cable keeps coming unhooked from the throttle cable bracket. It
seems to snap on ok, not loose, but when I check it after a couple
days it is off again. I haven't done a quantative study yet to
determine exactly how many uses of the throttle cause it to fall off,
but has anybody run across this before? Should there be some kind of
clip to hold it on once it's snapped on?
