Mike,
Sounds like IAC has nothing to do with this.
Sounds like you're loosing spark.
Several things can cause this:
- Did you check computer codes?
- Check your DIS module. Is it cracked? Clean the connectors. Is it properly grounded through the crossover tube?
- When's the last time you replaced the crankshaft (CPK) sensor? Are you loosing coolant btw? If so, your waterpump may be leaking and causing intermittent malfunction of the CPK.
- When you stall, does your tach drop to zero? That's a sign of CPK trouble.
Just some thoughts...
