Well I have decided not to try and get my 1992 SHO MTX going after an
accident. There was body damage to the passenger side and although it
is OK mechanically the repair costs exceed the vehicle value and the
insurance will not fix it. There is s short window of opportunity for
anyone interested in buying it cheaply for parts or restoration from a
salvage title. The car is white with three good wheels and one space
saver. The engine had the 60K service from the SHO Shop 4K miles ago.
The starter and alternator are quite recent, maybe a couple months old.
The car was babied its 1491K miles of life. It was always serviced by
the SHO Shop and got anything it needs like getting the seats
recovered.I have a specific car cover, a Taurus SHO/FFV service manual,
SHO club magazine collection and an extra EGR valve for an ATX model.
Anyone interested in specific parts or the whole thing ($500 if you
pick it up, actually I will drive it to Southern California locations)
send me a message or its off to the recycler in the next few days. I
think there is a fair amount of money to be made form the parts but I
do not want the trouble and I an emotionally pained to look at it and
not see it as the wonder ful car it is/was.
