Not sure how much help you'll get on this as you're the first I've heard
that has one. This changer was not a factory installed piece. It must
have been dealer installed.

Subject: [Shotimes] CD player problem

Guys

I have the original FORD 10 disc CD changer mounted in the truck in my
'93. On a recent trip, it was playing a CD, when suddenly it stopped and
now says E-99 on the CD LED (mounted on the dash). Doing the typical
off/on does not help, and I checked the connections in the trunk, but
none were found to be loose. If I tune the radio to the appropriate
channel, and I press the CD play button, it tries for a couple of
seconds, then throws the error code on the CD LED, and the radio channel
kicks back in. Has anyone ever had this happen before??

Yes, I know its 12 years old, and also made by Ford, but ....... : - )

Thanks
Bob
