Interisting. If I get some time, I will put togather two pictures of
transmissions where I am trying to get the VSS and the cable that broke, it
is a rather interisting senario on an Auto Transmission. I love my MTX, the
VSS is extremely easy to get to vs. the ATX.

I can't be 100% sure, since I myself have not seen the business (geared) end
of an
SHO speed sensor. However, I will be seeing one tomorrow, since I am going
to swap
mine out, along with installing new speedo cables. I _THINK_ that the same
speedo
gears that we used to use in RWD cars are used here. The Helms does not
agree with
me, but I am ALMOST sure that there are different driven gears we can pick
from.
The reason I say this is that back when Lowrider was brand new, it had a
sticking
speedometer needle in the instrument cluster, and I took it to the dealer to
be
swapped. They mis-understood me and thought it was reading slow, and
swapped the
gear. It read WAY too fast after that, and I took it back, and took the
service
manager for a ride, tapping the dash to show him how the needle was binding
at
speed.

The book shows a totally different looking gear than what we had in '60s
Mustangs
and the other cars, but at least the dealer was able to put a different one
in the
car for that day or two long ago.
