Speaking of off's, at road atlanta last weekend there was spec miata that
hit the turn 5 (or right before) wall driver's side flat, and was life
flighted (helicopter) to an Atlanta Hospital.  He was directly in front of
me on impact, I had to take a run through the grass avoid what was left of
his car hitting me.  It was a bad angle, high speed concrete barrier hit.
Really bad, worst I've seen up close like that.  Based on the latest update
today (I know the guy's son), guy is expected to be in ICU for another 2
weeks.  Ruptured aorta, head injuries, broken pevlis, leg, arm, and collar
bone.  He was slumped over in the car when he slid in front of me, I knew it
was bad from the angle of hit and of course seeing him out at that point.
Pretty sobering.  This was a pretty safe car to, cage, side impact bars,
window net, good seat, etc.  In a street car you would have never had a
chance at that speed.
